Maintenance and compliance
Keep equipment safe, serviced and in the right hands. Maintenance and compliance details live on each unit's card, and missionX can stop overdue or restricted units from being booked.
Service and calibration
| Field | Description |
| Service interval | Service every set number of days, or by usage using the unit's meter in hours, kilometers, miles or cycles. missionX works out when the next service is due. |
| Inspection expiry | When the unit's current inspection runs out. |
| Needs calibrating | Track the last and next calibration dates and attach the calibration certificate. |
Due-date alerts are included on every plan. On Core and Scale, turn on calibration and service blocking to stop overdue units from being booked.
Maintenance requests and log
Anyone in the organization can report an issue from the web or the mobile app. The request goes to the unit's custodian, who can resolve it. Requests are Open, Resolved or Cancelled, and open high-severity or out-of-service requests block the unit from being booked.
Record completed work in the Maintenance log with the date, description, cost, who performed it, the vendor and any attachments. Maintenance costs feed the unit's revenue vs costs.
Heads up: Maintenance requests need the Core or Scale plan.
Compliance
| Setting | Description |
| Export control | Mark units as ITAR or EAR controlled, with the ECCN for EAR. |
| Security classification | Record the unit's classification. |
| Restricted | Only the people and roles listed may book or handle the unit. Others can request access, which compliance approvers decide on the Scale plan. |
| Hazardous | Flag hazardous equipment and attach its safety data sheet. |
On the Scale plan, equipment admins can run the compliance report across all units.
