Accounting integrations
Get your missionX numbers into your books without retyping them. Go to Financials > Integrations in the Organization workspace. Each card shows what it moves and whether it is live.
Integrations send data into your accounting system, so only organization admins can set them up. Everyone else with access to the tab is asked to contact an admin.
Your options
| Integration | What it does |
| QuickBooks Online | Sent invoices go to QuickBooks line for line, with their customers and tax codes, and come back marked paid. Import your accounts and tax codes in one click. |
| Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central | Sent invoices arrive in Business Central as drafts for your finance team to post. They are coded to your accounts, tax groups and dimensions such as cost center and project, and come back marked paid. |
| Accounting export | A journal file for each month, covering approved time at cost, expenses, vendor invoices and client invoices. It is coded to your accounts, cost centers and tax codes and imports into any ERP. |
| Open API | Read and write clients, projects, timesheets, vendors, POs, vendor invoices and expenses from any system. Enterprise plans. See Open API. |
| Coming next | Xero, and webhooks that tell your systems when an invoice is sent or paid, or when a timesheet, expense or vendor invoice is approved. |
Your organization connects to one accounting system at a time.
Getting started
- Open the card for your system and connect it. For Business Central, your Microsoft admin approves missionX once, and the setup walks you through it.
- Import or match your accounts and tax codes, so both systems use the same codes.
- Send an invoice. Each card lists recent activity, so you can see what went through and fix anything that didn't.
Exporting instead? Open Accounting export, pick the month and download the journal. Each export is a numbered batch. You can undo the latest one, and changes made after an export post as corrections in the next.
Bright idea: Finish Setup first. Integrations and exports use your chart of accounts, cost centers, tax codes and posting accounts, so getting those right means your accountant has nothing to recode.
